Authors submitting manuscripts to MJSS must ensure that:

• The submitted work is original and has not been published elsewhere.
• The manuscript is not under consideration by another journal simultaneously.
• All data presented are accurate and honestly reported.
• Proper acknowledgement and citation of the work of others are provided.
• All listed authors have made significant contributions to the research and have approved the final manuscript.
• Any potential conflicts of interest are disclosed.
• Ethical approval has been obtained where required for studies involving humans, animals, or sensitive environmental interventions.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to:

• Evaluate manuscripts objectively, fairly, and confidentially.
• Provide constructive and timely feedback.
• Declare any conflicts of interest that may influence their assessment.
• Refrain from using unpublished information obtained through peer review for personal advantage.

Plagiarism and Research Misconduct

MJSS has zero tolerance for plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, image manipulation, duplicate publication, and other forms of research misconduct. All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism-detection software before entering peer review.

Manuscripts found to contain unethical practices may be rejected immediately. If misconduct is identified after publication, the journal reserves the right to issue corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions as appropriate.

Conflicts of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, professional, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence the objectivity of the publication process.

Corrections and Retractions

MJSS is committed to preserving the integrity of the scholarly record. When necessary, corrections, errata, expressions of concern, or retractions will be published in accordance with established publishing ethics guidelines.

The journal encourages adherence to recognised ethical standards and best practices in research and publishing. Cases of suspected misconduct will be investigated fairly and confidentially, and appropriate action will be taken when necessary.
